The Firm is engaged in the general practice of law, offering a broad spectrum and range of services to our clients, with a strong emphasis in bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, real estate, business, banking and commercial matters, including closings, foreclosures and collections, and all other types of litigation both in the prosecution and defense of claims.
The Firm also has an extensive litigation practice, including both plaintiff and defense work, in matters of both a commercial (including without limitation, real estate title disputes, foreclosure proceedings, contract actions, shareholder derivative actions, et. al.), and non-commercial nature (including without limitation, personal injury and property damage actions, matrimonial matters, et. al.), both on the trial and appellate level.
Commercial & Business
The Firm has had the opportunity to service many businesses and to render legal services required in the day-to-day affairs of such businesses, including the formation, incorporation, re-organization, liquidation, dissolution, merger, acquisitions and financing of same; leases, contracts and other negotiations; as well as general consultations for advice and suggestions.
A substantial number of individual real estate and business transactions are handled by the Firm each year. In addition, the Firm represents many institutional lenders for the purpose of commercial loan closings and settlements. Many of these closings take place in our offices, which are well, centrally located and sufficiently large to accommodate large groups of people.
Wills, Trusts & Estates
Over the years, the Firm has engaged in estate planning for many of our clients, including the preparation of both wills and trusts. We have also handled divers estate proceedings.
The Firm has developed a substantial collection practice, including both unsecured and secured business loans as well as mortgage foreclosure proceedings. Presently, the Firm represents and services various institutional clients in this area, including full service banks, SBA lenders and local economic development agencies, as well as a large number of private businesses, both large and small, and assists in the collection of delinquent loans, mortgages and account receivables.
The Firm has substantial experience in bankruptcy proceedings, representing both debtors and creditors, and has litigated extensively in Bankruptcy Court and has handled priority disputes, objections to discharge,
commercial reorganizations, as well as preference cases involving intricate questions of bankruptcy and commercial law.
